On International Workers Day trades unionists march from Clerkenwell Green to Trafalgar Square where a rally took place.
Unite’s Tabusam Ahmed, RMT general secretary Eddie Dempsey, NASUWT deputy general secretary Jane Peckham, Palestinian UK ambassador Dr Husan Zomlot and Paula Peters from DPAC all featured at the rally, among others.
Members of Unite’s LE524 Voluntary Sector branch carried their banner at the front in memory of Rroger Sutton, who was the branch’s vice-chair.
Roger was a dedicated trades unionist and health & safety campaigner throughout his life. See his biography in the Morning Star.
