Unprecedented strike action over pay is coming up in the next two weeks up and down the country. The RCN strikes 15th & 20th December and GMB Paramedics strikes 21st December.
NHS workers deserve our support. Their struggle for pay justice is right at the heart of the huge problems facing our NHS services.
If we cannot win better pay and conditions for NHS staff, the staffing shortage crisis will only get worse. The worse the crisis, the more enabled the Government will feel to ‘rescue’ the NHS with increasing private sector involvement.
We stand with NHS workers because, anyone, especially NHS workers who keep us safe in our times of need, being forced to use food banks, or choose food over heating, is not only an injustice, it is an insult to every decent member of society.
Even for those better off, the cost of living crisis means that no one isn’t feeling the pinch. Of all the people who did so much in the Covid pandemic, surely these hard working people in our health and care sectors have won the right for a better quality of life. That’s why we’ve produced a new range of material we’re asking all of you to display, use on your street stalls and share as widely as possible in support of all the NHS workers out on strike.
