Saturday 20 August saw another march initiated by London bus drivers and including people from the local community which will be hard hit by bus cuts.
The march went from Mornington Crescent to Trafalgar Square gathering enthusiastic support from passersby. It included disabled people and pensioners who will be badly affected by the loss of bus routes, as many stations on London Underground don’t have step-free access.
The step-free access upgrading of tube stations is among TFL’S many progressive transport projects which short-term inadequate Department of Transport bailouts will slow down or prevent.
Join the next demonstration on 6 September!
