Wednesday 16th October saw London and Eastern region of Unite celebrate Black History Month at Conway Hall in London. The event was (as promised) an engaging mix of education and entertainment.

As trade unionists, it is vital that we celebrate Black History Month. The fight for racial equality has long been intertwined with the labour movement, and recognising the contributions of Black workers and leaders strengthens our collective resolve to challenge inequality and injustice. The event was an opportunity to reflect on the struggles and achievements that have shaped our movement and to build solidarity across communities.
The theme of the event was internationalism, anti-racism, and ‘we’re here to stay!’
