INTERNATIONAL SUPPORT FOR LIVERPOOL STUDENTS
Maritime Union of Australia, Sydney branch sends support
Dear Comrades
A Letter of Solidarity with the Liverpool University Student Encampment
On behalf of the Sydney Branch of Maritime Union of Australia and the International Dockers Council Asia, Oceanic Region I send our Fraternal Solidarity to all the Liverpool University Students standing up and opposing the genocide of the Palestinian People and calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire.
The student-led actions around the world have been an inspiration to us all and that of the Pro- Palestine Encampment led by the students at Liverpool University, a great example of students at the forefront of a global movement fighting for justice and peace. You Comrades are on the right side of history.
We condemn the actions of the Liverpool police who continue to bully and harass these brave activists standing against a brutal Israeli Apartheid State; slaughtering, murdering and maiming tens of thousands of innocent Palestinians in Gaza and the occupied territories.
Stay true to your cause, stay strong and keep fighting for a better world.
Comrades, the Maritime Union of Australia Sydney Branch will always stand alongside these brave student-led movements who throughout history continue the fight for justice, for which we have in the past witnessed an end to Apartheid South Africa, against unjust wars in Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq and innumerable others, against nuclear war, for First Nations rights, women’s rights, workers’ rights amongst others and act as bulwarks against discrimination, war and environmental destruction.
To the Liverpool University Students Pro Palestine Encampment, know we are with you.
You will never walk alone.
Solidarity with the Liverpool University Students at the Pro Palestine Encampment.
Solidarity with the Palestinian people, Ceasefire now!
Letter from CSP Conlutas – Brazilian Trade Union Federation
Re: Solidarity with the Pro Palestine Student Encampment,
Liverpool University – Opposing the Genocide of the Palestinian People.
We express our deep international solidarity to the students of Alazeer Square, University of Liverpool and to your rally to be held on 7 July.
We understand that your camp started on 6 May and that you say, “We the students of Alareer Square oppose the crimes against Palestinians and strive for their liberation” and you support BDS against the Zionist entity.
We heard about the police raid on the camp, 22nd June, with the University of Liverpool complicit in allowing the police to attack the students. We strongly condemn such action and such complicity. In supporting your demands we join with you in saying there must be no persecution by the university of students participating in the camp.
Your rally and demonstration takes place as more than 100 organisations are mobilised in Brazil to promote a week of activities for the end of military relations between Brazil and Israel. CSP-Conlutas is part of the action that begins on 1 July and runs until 7 July and we demand that the Lula government break all diplomatic, military and economic relations with this genocidal state! Our sisters and brothers at Alareer Square are part of massive action taking place across the world. We wish you great success in your rally and camp. Let us fight together to liberate Palestine.
Victory to the camp
Victory for Palestine,
Palestinian Postal Workers Union thanks the students
“We, the Postal Workers Union in Palestine, extend our heartfelt thanks to the students who have risen in support of justice and peace in Palestine. We deeply appreciate your efforts to stop the war and genocide against the Palestinian people. Your strong stance towards Palestine demonstrates your humanity and profound awareness of the injustices in the world.
“As members of the BNC-BDS movement, PPSWU urge you to continue this solidarity until the injustice against every worker in Palestine and worldwide ends.
In Solidarity.”
