After many months of negotiations, revised offers and repeated rejection by over 4,000 members at Heathrow Airport Limited (HAL), Unite’s negotiating team won a deal which means an 8.5 per cent pay increase over 30-months, with the lowest-paid security officers winning 10.9 per cent.

This followed ten votes for strike action across the airport by Unite members.

Maternity and paternity leave has been significantly increased.

Elsewhere in Aviation, Unite members at Global Baggage Solutions have just delivered a 100 per cent strike vote on a 75 per cent turnout in their fight for the London Living Wage (or for those already at this rate of pay, a 5 per cent increase.)
